My kid wears size 16 or 18 kids which is very hard to find ( She is tall for her age). She loves dresses so a size small adult fit her like a glove ( goes little over her knee, but we don't mind). It looks lovely and very flattering. We ended up buying various colors after we bought this one.

This is a nice, modest day dress, with a good amount of stretch in the material. (Read: works for those curves on top.) Love love love this dress! I ordered the black and pink floral print and it fits and looks exactly as shown. The pockets are definitely a plus! It is soft, drapes well and seems very well made. Not quite empire waist on me which is fine. Perfect summer staple and such a nice change from cropped pants and top. I loved it so much I immediately ordered the olive green as well. For reference I am 5’5” and 100 lbs. The Xs was perfect.
