This is a beautiful dress. i did order 2 sizes up for the correct size.The elastic waist is high, I am short with a big belly, so for me personally I felt that it made me look 9 months pregnant. So I returned it with noproblem.

This is a nice, modest day dress, with a good amount of stretch in the material. (Read: works for those curves on top.) Not quite an empire waist, as it almost hits at my natural waist, but I have a short torso. Long enough in size medium to hit right below my knees (I'm 5'2). Lovely dress but wrinkles real easily. I am 5'3 125lbs. Small fit me well and was at my knee which I love. Perfect for church or work.

This is very comfortable and can be dressed up or down- I am 50 and weight 148 and a medium was perfect which is what I normally wear. I will say that the fabric is thin so be aware of that when wearing under garments!
