I think it's great that the pompom comes off. I wore this hat at a camp fire and needed to wash the smoke smell out. I just snapped off the pompom and tossed beanie in the washer. Snapped the pompom back on when out of dryer. Done. Easy. I will be ordering other colors!

I love this hat! It's super soft and the pom pom on the top... Well I was skeptical about it but I love it! I lost mine and messaged the seller, and he totally sent me a new pom pom! I was super excited. So I gorilla glued this one on :-)
