I don\'t wear hats but living in NY winters could get very cold. I purchased because the hat looked cute but simple. I received the hat and was happy to see I was given a bonus pom pom . The hat is nice and thick which means it will keep my head warm, but it does run a little large. I have to fold in the hat 1x so it can stay on my head and not cover my eyes. It was also nice receiving a handwritten letter from the maker, very nice personal touch. This would make a nice gift, a cute essential winter item.
