I am on the tall side, 5\'9\'\', and usually wear size 14 pants, and those pants do fit me just right. I was concerned about waist being a bit high, but it is still comfortable to wear and did not feel like I am being strangled. I have to use a belt with the pants, but it is true for most pants I wear since I have smaller waist and most pants gape at the back.
